Hi! My name is Casey Dubrawka. I am a middle child and have two sisters, one a year older and one four years younger. I'm a freshman majoring in Chemistry. My birthday is June 4th, and I'm 18 years old. I am from Tionesta, Pennsylvania. It is a small town in Northwestern PA, about an hour and a half south of Erie and two hours north of Pittsburgh, that not many people have heard of. I graduated from West Forest Junior High School with a class of 35. A lot of people don't believe me when I tell them that and wonder how I dealt with such a small school. I actually really liked having a small school and miss all of my friends sometimes, but I am loving the size and all of the people here at Penn State. In high school I played soccer, basketball, and softball, but softball was definitely my favorite of the three. In the winter, I was in the ski club and went skiing every weekend. This summer, some of my classmates and I went on a two week tour of Europe to England, Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. I loved it over there and it was definitely a trip I'll never forget. I now live in Pollock Halls in Beaver with my roomate Brooke. I actually don't mind dorm life at all and love the fact that there is always something going on and someone to talk to. So far I love it here at Penn State, and cannot wait for colder weather and football games to start. English was never really my favorite subject in high school, but I am looking forward to this class and learning to become a better writer. For the most part, I like my other classes so far this semester and am figuring out how to adjust my schedule and manage my time to get all of my work done.
